Failed Emissions!! WTC???

I have two problems,Need help please!!

Problem 1. My truck failed emissions (Tn). Said it failed the Opacity Inspection. Allowed 10% and it read 50.3%. Apparently its some thing to do with two much smoke? My truck doesn't smoke at all! Stock motor with 290,000 miles. Better air filter,exhaust and upgraded 17* hpop. Thats it, no programr etc... Everything is the same as last year when I went through emissions and it passed with flying colors!! Any ideas??

Problem 2. When truck is good and warm it takes a LONGER than normal time to crank back up. You will actually wonder it it is gonna start then it hits lopes for just a split second and then runs fine. Only when its hot,if cold it starts fine. Is this IPR? I cleaned this and replaced o-rings when I put in the new HPOP (17* Terminator HPOP). According to the scanguage II the pressures are perfect when its running BUT it doesn't show me numbers while trying to crank it. Guess I need to get my buddy to hook his snap on to it and see if that will show it. Any other advice?

Can you try another emissions shop? if you have it set up that close to stock I would almost guess the shops equipement was faulty, sorry I don't have anything on the start up issue.

Sounds like you need to demand the shop to clean up their machine and then re run your truck on it.

If your map sensor is not working properly it would cause it to dump more fuel and smoke a little more. Check the wire harness if it is loose put a zip tie on it through the connector.
When I had my 02 tested I only had 3% and I am allowed up to 35% were I am at.

I passed in WA with 1% and that is with no cat, no muffler, and no EGR cooler...

Well I have some good news! It passed emissions this morning with flying colors! Didn't change anything either so I guess it was just a bad day at the other testing site. Like it was said, I had probably gotten behind someone who had just failed. Still working on the hard start when hot situation but we believe thats a crappy Terminator HPOP pump BUT thats a hole other story. Well,time to go get my tags.
