01-7.3 idles fine, sputters when stepping on pedal for 5 seconds

as stated, truck seems to start ok... (maybe a slightly longer crank?)

when you leave the truck idle for 5-10 mins, then step on the pedal it will shudder and misfire for 5 seconds or so, then seem to snap out of it, and it will run fine. acceleration is fine, power seems ok, idle is smooth the entire time, its just when you step on the pedal after it sits for 5-10 mins it will hesitate for 5 seconds or so.

in the past i did have to pull the drives side valve cover to plug the injector harness back in...did that twice, on the second time i glued the thing in place -that was back in june.

new fuel filter back in june, truck has maybe 5,000 miles on that filter since

I'd check the TPS, ICP, IPR first to see what they're doing when you step on it like that.
Fuel pressure would be a good idea too.
