2001 7.3 oil leak

I have a 2001 7.3 that is leaking oil looks like it is leaking below the turbo . has any one else had this problem ?

That's one of the most common leak spots. It is most likely the pedistol orings but could also be the EBV. You can do it yourself either way you will need to pull the turbo.

7.3L SD Turbo Removal and Rebuild


Right in the 7.3 Tech Files^

This shows you how to remove the turbo. Doing the pedestal is pretty easy after you get the turbo off... it's just 4 bolts to remove the pedestal and expose the 2 lower o-rings, then do the ones on the EBV solenoid, then replace the pedestal, replace the top 2 o-rings, then the Turbo goes back in. Just be careful not to knock off the o-rings when you put the turbo back on.

dieselorings.com and riffraff diesel both have the o-ring kits MUCH cheaper than Ford does.
