need help..in the middle of replacing turbo/ped orings

i was disconnecting everything from the turbo including the red pressure line from the wastegate and it rotted off..am i able to just replace the actuator on the turbo? can i leave it as is or is it needed?

A lot of guys disconnect that hose and run with out it, me included.
Seems to build boost faster, feels better to my butt dyno.

haha right on, i dont feel bad about ghetto rigging it...had to widen the hole a bit, 1/4-20 tap, put a brass bolt in it with a hole drilled in the center with the head cut off...fit perfect on the hose connector lol...i thought it would throw a code or something i wasnt sure...
