Ruff sounding starter. Ideas?

I replaced my napa reman with a carquest reman because the napa bendix was sticking and my new carquest sounds just as rough as the napa. Anyone with this issue

Get an autozone one the $220 dollars hurts at first but it has a life time warrenty no questions asked. Replaced mine over the summer after two years and got another brand new one. Sometimes autozones alright.

My carquest starter is less than a year old. I am thinking about a stock ford. We have another 7.3 with the original starter and it cranks much smoother.
