Truck intermittently stalls or dies while stopping?

My truck has had issues starting when cold, seems to do something to the battery, cause if I jump it it will start. I've gotten trouble codes for bad glow plug or GPR so I have always assumed that is why. As long as I keep it plugged in it does fine. Will changing the GP's or GPR fix this?

Also it will die every once and a while when it is down shifting or stopping and gets below a certain RPM. The service engine light came on, I went to Autozone today and it didn't pull up any codes. I went ahead and erased all the codes on it and the service engine light is off now. Has not done it sense then but I'm still concerned about it. I changed the fuel filter last week to see if that was the problem and it didn't fix it. Not sure what other steps I should take to locate the problem. Any ideas???
