Oil Leak!!

We have a 99 and the leak is coming from the oil cooler. Now the mechanic cant give us a price because he said he is worried about some studs breaking and then it would be more. Any one know what studs hes talking about. My dad talked to the mechanic and wont really give me a solid answer. Any help would be great... its a dumptruck so idk if that makes any difference

I'd do it yourself cause he seems kinda shady. If a mech won't go over everything with me or any worries he has on MY vehicle, he's not my mech.
