2000 7.3 with edge evolution with attitude power sucks very little smoke on extreme

i have a 2000 ford with a 7.3 . and i have a edge evolution with attitude on it i can put the chip on extreme and theres a power differnce but not like it should be . and i can step on it and i barely get any black smoke at all. i bought the chip used and after about a year of owening it i noticed that the guy i bought it from cut the wire that went to the exaust mannifold so i have no way to read egt . the other thing is my tranny doesnt shift right i can step on it and it will down shift and just peg out at 3000 rpms and takes a long time to shift to the next gear . any info on any of this will help thanks

Reading your post, I'm pretty sure that you're speaking of two separate Edge products...The Evolution (with the display) and the Juice with Attitude (just a box). From what you're describing, I believe you have the Evolution like I do which has the pod display.

With my Evolution on my 2001 7.3, I can select three main programs (Towing, Race, and Extreme). You can have it program those three options with the settings from EDGE without any mods OR select to CUSTOM PROGRAM and tweak the settings from Edge. Those do include (but are not limited to) Shift Firmness, Shift RPM Points, Rev Limiter, timing advance and such. I personally have grown a liking to softening my shift firmness settings to be kind to my overly sensitive rebuilt tranny. It sounds to me like the program you're running has been customized to not allow your RPM's to go above 3K and is altering your normal shift points. Do you have a manual for your product?
