02 died wont start
i have a thread in general section also but here goes. i was getting off the freeway when my truck died while cranking the tach was not moving so i thought cam sensor, put a new one in and same thing no start nothing on the tach. the filter housing is full and i unplugged what i believe is the icp with no results but there was oil inside the connection. the truck has a banks sixgun but is otherwise stock thanks in advance for your advice.

An '02 will not show cranking rpm so, although the CPS was a good idea, it's no test for an '02.
Do you have a WTS light? Disconnect the Banks as was suggested in one of your, many other, posts

i disconnected the banks stuff and still nothing. the wts light still functions as it should

update on the truck ihad a scanner hooked up to it and got two codes p1280 and p0603 while cranking it said 150 rpm any suggestions?

The 603 means the PCM went unpowered sometime, it's common and not a concern.
The 1280 is from unplugging the ICP, if the scanner retrieved codes, the PCM is running now..... 150rpm is good. I'd go back to fuel. Drain & refill the filter housing to be sure the pump works, you've got fuel in the tank, and the shut-off hasn't been tripped. All the fuses are OK? Could something important have come unplugged? Finally, what kind of scanner are you using? Does it do our trucks properly (most don't)? Can you get ICP & IPR readings? Do a "buzz test"? |

hey i checked all fuses again and they are fine. the scanner is a snap on and we didi a buzz test all 8 sounded good, injection control pressure does read 0 while cranking however. i will check the fuel system again.

i think i may have found a problem the tin nut on the ipr is missing, i dont know if anything else is or not but ican slide the outer part of that sensor in and out hopefully someone that knows more than me has an answer. thanks again

i found the tin nut and put it back on the ipr still no start, i dont know if the ipr could be damaged or maybe missing more parts. any advice is appreciated.

i was able to scan the truck again and had only 25 psi injection pressure i am starting to think the ipr is junk.
