One Click - Won't Crank

New batts two months ago. Has been rolling over slower. Have EBP tube needing to be replaced and thought slow cranking/start issue might be tied to that. Started slow this am. This pm I only get a click and nothing. Tapped starter with a hammer, got it to roll barely, than seemed liked batteries out of juice. Lights and accessories work. Hooked to charger on 200 amp jump mode and no difference. Believe it's the starter.

Could the EBP tube issue have anything to do with it? Was told it could be locked-up with fuel, though everything seems like starter. 175k miles with original starter.

The EBP sensor wouldn't have anything to do with a hard start/cranking issue. On a 7.3 it's really only used to moniter the EBV/warmup valve.

Sounds like the starter is going out, but you would really need to load test the batteries to verify this.

Yank the started out and take it somewhere to be tested. I had the same exact issue and it was just a junk started.
