FUEL IN WATER, BAD INJECTOR CUP?
Hi Everybody, today I found diesel in my radiator overflow tank, I did some homework and the probable cause is a cracked injector cup. Has anyone replaced the cups using the tap and driver tools? I have done many full rebuilds on gas motors and the instructions you see online don't look terribly difficult, if anyone has done this please let me know of your experiences doing this, it would be great to have some tips before I dive in to this.
Thanks, Bill Last edited by primolee; 07-12-2011 at 07:02 AM. |

easy with right tools. Just remember the loctite 262 and apply it throughly in the places needed... First, cleaning the sealing surfaces left in the head is the most important part... Usually you would pull all 8 injectors, clean the cups, and put pressure to cooling system to make sure it is the cups. And dont replace just one or two or three, do them all.
