rough idle and blue smoke at start

i can start my truck in 90 degree weather and it smokes WHITE and can smell raw fuel,when first started, it and 03 7.3 170,000 miles,where should i start with glow plugs,injectors,not losing and oil or coolent,no fuel in oil.thanks for and help.

Check for fuel in coolant its hard to see if you have yellow coolant but if so it could be injector sleeve.

i checked no fuel in coolent,gonna bring it to the dealer and let them run an cut out test on injectors.

is it just blue smoke? when was the last time you changed the fuel filter? my truck was doing the same thing and it was just a dirty fuel filter! put some diesel klean in it and change ur filter drive it around it might just be that..

I have changed my filter and put some lucas injector cleaner,helped a littel but still smoking blue at start till warms up and when i hammer on it blow a puff of blue smoke,and can smell raw fuel all the time,im really thining its an injector.

if your smelling raw fuel all of the time I would bet on injector cups

Yes. If you can find the tool it is fairly simple. I did mine in a day. Some were easier than others. But all in all I saved myself a lot of money and learned a new task for all my buddies trucks.

If you want to my the tool it is made Whitaker. I think "Whitaker sleeve puller" Google it. I just used a tap and slide hqmmer though. And to install them an old injector minus solenoid. Good luck.
