Angry 2001 7.3l no start!!! driving me nuts!!

i have a 2001 f 350 7.3l that had a bad HPOP or so i thought...i replaced it and still not start...not its got good oil pressure but still cranks and cranks and no start. i replaced the batteries with brand new one and got good fuel pressure

it will run just fine on a small shot of either but other than that will not start..so it seems like its not getting fuel

any ideas??

I had the same thing happen to me on Saturday. Driving down the road and truck just stopped, crank and no start.
Shop thinks it is IDM, they are waiting to get a spare to test before ordering a new one.

Are your glow plugs working correctly? GPR good? Any smoke when you try to start?

Have you checked ALL your fuses?

You shouldn't use ether on these engines, just FYI.

small shot of ether is not horrbile, but just a squirt. it can hurt the GP's

are you getting a check engine light? If not its more than likely a fuel problem. fuel filter good? if you drain the fuel bowl, and then cycle the key, does the bowl fill back up?

check ALL fuses. Are you getting a WTS light? if not check the 20 amp fuse on the lower left side of the box. its the one that powers the PCM...

I would pull ALL the fuses and check them, just to be sure.

Is there a chip in the PCM?

Is the WTS light turning off like normal?

Batteries fully charged? (load tested?)

Just something else to check while your in there.... There is a wiring harness on the driver's side valve cover, right under the intake hose and CCV that rubs on the valve cover and sometimes exposes the wires.... may be worth checking out.
