Injector trouble

Just wanted to put this out there to see if anyone else has encountered this problem or heard about it. I have a 2000 F-250 that is throwing a high-low voltage code to the number 8 injector. I have now been dealing with this off and on for almost two years. I replaced the #8 injector in December 2009 and again in December 2010. It already started acting up again last month. The service engine light comes on and the truck idles real rough, but when you push in on the clutch it will come back to normal idle after a few seconds. It does it more often when you take off on a steep hill or you are pulling a load. If you take off real easy and ease through the gears it will not act up. Any help will be appreciated.

My guess would be CPS, but it helps if you know the code and used a good reader to scan the system. (Generic ones don't really work on these trucks.)

CPS can cause the #* injector to read weak on the CCT. It does on mine, but it still ruins like a champ.

Find the CPS, figure out which one you have, and get another and try it to see if that fixes it.... you should have a spare in the glove box anyway!

Thank you for the reply, but I have say mine does not run like a champ. It has a miss with no power and blue smoke. I'm trying to find out what injector is #4 on buzz test. I think I changed wrong one cause nothing has changed.

I believe it goes like this:

(Transmission Side)
7 - 8
5 - 6
3 - 4
1 - 2
(Front)

Someone pleas correct me if I'm wrong?!?!

Thank you. I want to apologize to OP because I jacked this thread. Mine is called "injector problems". Lol. I clicked on wrong one. No wonder that guy was talking about a cps. But thanks again for answering my question!
