Replacing Fuel Injector Control Module?
Got news from the dealer that my FICM is bad and he wants $1200 for the part plus labor to replace. I looked on line and can by a reman for about $450 from O'Reilly. (I was just looking for a comparison cost and haven't looked at other parts stores)
What is the possibility I could do this myself? 2000 F350 7.3 Diesel |

Easily, but take a look at Swamps FICM first.

replacing the FICM is easy. It is behind the wheel well plastic on the driverside fender. If you remove the plastic wheel well you will find the FICM. You just need to get a replacement one. You could go aftermarket modded FICM. Or you could go Replacement OEM. Or you can go OEM.

Thanks guys - I think I can handle the physical replacement, but is there any programming that has to go into it or is it plug n' play ?

Plug and play. Just get the right model IDM as per my link above.
