Exclamation No power and stalling

I am having a little problem with my 99 F250. It was acting like it was running out of diesel even though the little computer said that there was still miles to go. I then stopped and got 5 gallons and put it in. Now it will idle but very ruff. I drove down the street and it died and I could not get it started. Now it will idle for a little while and then stall. I am looking for and help that you guys can offer, since I live in the middle of nowhere and its a $400 tow truck bill to the closest ford dealer.

hello and welcome to the forum. could be one of many things. when was the last time the fuel filter was replaced? you might try draining the bowl, possible that it may have some water in it.

it is also possible that one of the valve cover harness's is loose,

the first thing to check, as said above, would be the fuel filter........it could be a cam sensor, although where it idles rough, i wouldnt be as sure as if it was just a stall....definatley look at the under valve cover harnesses.......Marc
