Poppet Seat Replacement Alternative FPR

Please tell me someone has done the research and found a replacement for the small hard plastic poppet seat on the fuel pressure regulator?

It just seems a shame to buy the Ford Rebuild kit for what should be a $3 part. Any suggestions on who might offer this aftermarket?

Look up Regulated Return fuel systems on most of the diesel sites. You can normally get the regulator seperately or in a huge kit with the lines. With a RR setup, im pretty sure you can replace the FPR with something reliable (and better for your engine/injectors.)
