Fault codes
I posted before in the diesel diagnostics forum about a problem I was having with the SES light coming on when I was pulling. Since then I have been able to pull the codes and here is what I have:
P0603--INTERNAL CTRL MOD KAM ERROR P1211--ICP NOT CTRLLABLE PRES ABOVE/DESIRED The codes are posted exactly as they appeared on my superchips programmer. My question is where do I go from here? I only get the codes when I am pulling my 5th wheel in a hard pulling situation. When I clear the codes, and program for performance when I'm not towing, I won't have any issues until I reprogram and tow again. I'm not sure what to fix, but I don't want it leaving me and my family on the side of the road a thousand miles from home. Thanks. |

Bump.. help?

first one is from the tuner, every time you change programs it'll pop that up, just clear it and it wont come back til you 'change' your setting again. the second one is your icp, sounds like you have a weak hpop not giving enough pressure.

Thanks Dietoremain. My next question is how hard is it to change the high pressure oil pump and how do I check it to be sure it's the cause? Are there specialty tools needed?

It would be best to have a scan tool(AE) to read the ICP duty cycle % and pressure so you can tell, but thats usually a sign its worn out, hopefully someone with more knowledge on those will chime in for me.
