Arrow Injector info

First off i have spent almost two days looking through forums and searching about info and i still have questions. Just wanted to put that out there before anyone jumped on me about starting another thread about injectors.

Anyway, how do you figure out the injector code of the injectors in my truck, rather it be AE or AA or w/e. I have a idea but i want to be 100% sure before i go ordering stuff. I had a buzz test done and the injector or cylinder # 8 is weak. I know that some have the long injector in that cylinder, which is another thing that i need to know before i order.

Also..any thoughts on who to get injectors from, Im jsut wanting to get one for that cylinder and replace it, are remans worth it, or should i just get a new one? Im very mechanicaly inclined and did injectors on my old truck and i realize that a deisel motor is a different world but how difficult is the job??

Thanks for any input, just trying to get as much info as i can before i decide on anything

Truck info:
2000, f250 7.3, straight pipe, php 6 pos chip, diy intake, isspro gauges. other than that pretty much stock

Thanks,
John

Injectors

The only way to be certain is to pull the valve cover and look at the last two digits on top of the injector solenoid. The injectors are not hard to replace, just make sure you get the oil out of the cylinder with a syringe or hand pump or by turning engine over with the glow plug out before you start it up. Pull the valve cover, unplug the injector, remove the aluminum oil spout, remove the lower bolt on the injector, slide the hold down up past the upper bolt and pry up on the injector base plate. Mine came out fairly easy.

Is there a PDF anywhere with how to check your injectors and gaskets? (one with pics)
