99 E350 no start

My dads van, wont start now, before we had to start it on starting fluid, now it wont start at all, go to turn the key and you hear the starter going, but quickly drains the batteries. Before I go replacing I need to know where to start. Thanks

I would look maybe at your HPOP, if you don't have oil pressure than you don't get fuel to the engine.

Are you saying the starter is turning ONLY or the whole motor??

If it is JUST the starter turning then it may be bad and throwing the starting gear to the flywheel/flex plate like it should.
