Won't start unless using startling fluid
I have a '02 7.3 diesel that I have been unable to get to start unless I use starting fluid. It will continue to run once I get it started, but if I cut it off it will not restart without once again using the starting fluid. With a code reader it is showing a 12 80 code, but I do not know what this means. Does anyone have any suggestions. Thanks!

P1280 is ICP Sensor:
ECSD - Injection Control Pressure (ICP) Sensor - 1994-1997 Power Stroke FAQ That code could also mean a weak HPOP, Bad ICP, or bad IPR. If your scanner has the ability to monitor, watch the ICP pressure and voltage Last edited by mcflan; 04-06-2011 at 08:28 PM. |
