Intercooler Problems

I'll try to make a long story short. I was doing the usual 05 headlight swap on my late 99, and as I was trying to replace the header panel, I noticed that the intercooler has a hole in it. Hopefully, the motor hasn't been taking in a lot of dirt, but who knows. I was going to go w/ a stock ic, but thought I have heard of people putting in an ic from a 6 litre. Any advice would be helpful, thanks.
