Idle cconcern..

I am noticing a idle issue in my truck, it does not do it all the time but sometimes I'll be at a traffic light and the idle will jump up and down and smooth out after a couple seconds. I also noticed sometimes when coming to a stop light as I am breaking the idle is hi 1k until I completely stop.. These things are not consistent any ideas? Should I worry? It stalled yesterday for first time ever so I worry it's getting worse...

cant hurt to put in a new cps they run about 20 bucks. they usually cause complete dying but will start right back up no problem. I would start there.

Ok new CPS and still have a rough idle from time to time not constant and it still spuddered out and died once.. The truck drives like normal all the issues are happening at idle. Yesterday i ran it nearly bone dry AND drove through some flooded streets. I filled up today added some Diesel Kleen like i always do and now have these issues. I wanted to add as much info as possible in hopes you all have some insight.

it is on the drivers side in front by valve cover, type in ipr on google then click images. but actually i was wrong you shoud check the icp(injector control pressure sensor) and make sure it doesnt have oil on the bottom of it. you can try a loop test on it but sometimes this test doesnt work, start the truck let it warm up then unplug icp and if it smooths out then that is your problem. sometimes it wont smooth out and it will still turn out to be the icp. the ipr and the icp work together to adjust the pressure of oil being sent to the injectors. neither sensor is cheap.
