Oil in Coolant Tank
I discovered about a 1/2" of motor oil in the coolant tank. No water in oil pan. I think it is the oil cooler from what I have read on the forum. My question is do I replace the cooler tube and reuse the ends? or Do I rebuild the tube that is there? Is it just the gaskets that attached to the block that failed which allowed the oil into the coolant? Truck blows smoke after it sits awhile but once its warm it runs fine. I think its time for new injectors, they have never been worked on. Any advise will be appreciated.

your oil cooler is definatly the problem, tho i have never done one on my psd, i have on a Mack enigine, and if they are similar, coolant passes over the oil tubes to help cool the oil a bit, tube leaks, oil pressure is greater that the water pressure, and oil in coolant, sorry i couldn't be any more help, but its one of those things your just going to have to take apart and see what went wrong and where, and determine your solution from there, good luck
