Replaced GPR, Not Cold Starting still, battery light always on
Hi guys, new to this forum. Ive been searching this forum trying to get some answers on why my truck is constantly not starting if it sits for over 4 hours.
So I have been searching through the forums and reading peoples posts with the similar issues.
Here is what my truck does. Walk out in the morning to go to school/work turn the key wait to start comes on for about 10 seconds. Turn the key and all it will do is crank and crank and crank. Even if i plug it in it wont start. So in order for me to get it started I give her a little sniff of either (YESSS I KNOW EITHER= GRENADE). But thats the only way the truck will start when it is cold. Please don't respond telling me how bad either is, I know how bad it is and am fully aware of the consequences. once it starts it smokes blue until warm. Once up to temp I can shut it off and it will fire right back up, but if the truck sits for longer the 4-5 hours it will not start.
So yesterday I swung by autozone and picked up a new GPR installed it and ever since I installed it my idiot battery light is constantly on and has not gone off yet. Also my truck still does not start cold with the new GPR.
My question is: What should I check next?
- glowplugs?
- GPR wired wrong? (that would be silly if I did)
My truck is a 95 PSD, 5 Speed, with 213k miles.
Thanks in advance guys!!
