Need HELP!!!!!
 I bought 01 4x4 F250 with the 7.3L. I love the new truck but I have a problem with the new truck. But it only gets 12 mpg bone dry and maybe 8 mpg with a 20' foot gooseneck trailer. It had a bad fuel leak about a month a go. But I got it fixed but it didn't help the mpg. The truck is only a supercab. My Mom has a 01 4x4 F250 crewcab and it gets 16 mpg dry and pulling a trailer it gets 14 mpg. The new truck does not have hardly any power. The owner before had a hypertech programmer on it. I am desparate for help. I don't drive crazy so I know thats not the problem.

I recommend checking for other upgrades to the truck. Did ol' boy take the programmer off or is it still on? If its on, the tune its using may not be a good one. If its off, then if the truck is modded it could need a chip with tunes to get its full power back. Is the CEL on?

dp tuner is what im planning on getting for my '00 everyone seems to be pretty happy with theirs, but as with almost any chip plan on $300+

Will the chip hurt the trans? I don't mind the price. I have heard good things about the DP tuner. I have looked at an AFE air intake for the truck also. But Will these mods help the mpg? I want to build the truck up too 500HP too 700HP on fuel.

Horsepower and fuel economy don't go hand and hand. More hp equals less mpg's

The Max Energy should give you around 2 to 3 mpg gain over stock. Have you tested stk vs programmed. We also give you 32hp on stage 1 and 60hp on stage 2 and 100hp on stage 3. Put the programmer on the truck to make sure you are programmed. When you hook it up it should say programmed press y to go back to stock if it programmed

I have my old Edge evolution on the truck right now.I have it programmed at tow.
