loud knock!

well i just changed my injectors and sleeves...got everything back together.... let truck sit and idle and she just purred right along.. no knocking or anything...

drove the truck down the road and next thing you know ...smoke pouring out from the exhaust and a loud knocking...limped the truck to the parking lot..


checked oil..oil was little low ...added oil to it..still a loud knocking ...shut truck off and had towed home to prevent any further damage from driving it....

what could this be? please help ...tired of throwing money at thsi thing only to have something else go wrong

id say u didnt put the injectors in right! or u left some toold behind

injector not seated all the way oil leaking past oring. pull the valve cover and check across the tops of the injectors with a level or straight 2x4 to make sure they are all flush. Im sure you'll find one is up too high!
