the dreaded rotted oil pan!

2000 CC LB

my oil pan is rotted. I have leaked a gallon of oil in the past week. I crawled under the truck to have a look and found the previous owner had mad a shoddy jb weld repair and sprayed it black...I am pretty cheezed off!

I cleaned it up and sprayed cleaner on it to degrease/de oil it. I spead long hair fiberglass all over the deep sump section minus the drain plug area. I still have a small leak though.

should I clean it up some more and put more fiberglass to it?

BTW I am doing this to get by till warm weather (I am in northern maine) and then the engine is coming out for a build!

thanks for any help in advance

Port and polish the heads if you know how.

Do a custom fuel system.

ARP head tuck are always good insurance not needed but if you want big power

headers

rear main seal just incase it goes bad you dont have to take the engine out again.
