any have any ideas why my truck smokes when left idleing
i just purchesed a 2000 f250 back in october and i absolutly love the truck but im starting to notice an off and on problem with it when i have the truck on and the motor running in park after about 10-15 minutes when i go to put it back in drive and take off it dumps out whiteish blue smoke under acleoration i know some stuff about gas motors but diesels are new to me. dose anyone know what could be the cause of the problem im kinda worried to drive it because i dont want to do more damage to it any help would be greatly apriciated

Could be wet stacking.
At a regular idle (non-elevated) the cylinders cool down and you get an incomplete burn. Diesel will get into the exhaust system, including the turbos. Once you get into it again the diesel will start to burn in the exhaust. Hard on the turbos. If you're going to idle that long, idle it up using the high idle mod (if you haven't done it already do a search in the tech forum). Or I could be full of $hit.
