i just bought a 99 f350 that dosent run right it seem to be skipping and dosent have any power i put ebp sensor somebody put glow plugs and that wedge kit any ideas please i got a modis scanner if someone can tell me how to see if it skipping im diesel dumb

You should do a injector buzz test if your scanner will. Probably on special tests / functions, it is done KOEO and will buzz all injectors, then each individually in the order 1-8. They should all sound similar. It isn't uncommon to have electrical issues at the valve cover gaskets or the wire harnesses under them. Any codes? Maybe clear and run injector test, then you should get some codes I suspect. You could also run a cylinder contribution test if the modis supports that.

i ran the cylinder contribution test and it came back with 2 an 8 but i just had it at the dealer and they replaced the #8 injector pass side valve cover gasket and wiring harness 5 glow plugs it now cranks when its cold but runs like crap until you get it spooled up one time then its some what ok but still has a skip to me sometimes it smooth and sometimes its not any suggestion anybody
