boost?
i have a early 99 with full 4" exhaust no muffler. K&N drop in filter. bullydog 4 position chip. vacume line for waste gate is plugged (done by pervious owner). my problem is it really not making over 1 or 2 psi until i really get on it. and if i give it some throttle just sittin still the boost gauge hardly moves. COuld the waste gate be open all the time and thats why its not making much boost? thanks for any help/suggestions

Get rid of the drop in filter before you dust your engine, and thats about what my last truck did ( was an early 99) how much boost do you make when it is reved out?

it will max out my gauge when ya have it to the floor but i just figured it would make more boost at cruising speeds. and i want to get a S&B filter but im a broke college student and just had to get my car worked on and cant afford one right now or i would have already.

Make a DIY intake, you can get a kit from riff raff diesel for less than 50 bucks.
btw check all your IC boots for tightness and your uppipes for leaks. |

Sounds normal, boost will change according to your driving and the load put on the motor and on how the chip is tuned but I would reconnect the wga line cause the tune sets the boost also
