What's the problem with my engine man!!!! HELP
Motor started to lose power after pulling my boat on the freeway for about 3 miles. Pulled over and she started running better but as soon as I got on her again same lack off power issue. Seemed like fuel starvation so nursed her off the road and replaced the fuel filter (dirty) and continued on home with the same lack of power. Still on the fuel starvation thought maybe the Pick up screen on the sending unit is plugged so out comes the tank.
Shes clean, along with the inside of the tank. Needed to sit and have a cold one now. By chance I took the filter cap off and noticed that while the keys on, fuel is coming into the filter housing with lots of small air bubbles. Don't know if this is my original problem or something I created when removing the sending unit from the tank.Anyone have any ideas. STUMPED??? |

Sorry don't run with A post gauges. I believe it's a fairly simple mechanical problem with either an air leak in the fuel lines on the suction side of the pump or on the p/u tube in the tank. Just lookin for a little pre-work direction.
