Hi, My alternator went bad so I went and got a new bigger one. I went form a 95A to a 165A and everything bolted up just fine. The question i have is the lead to the batteries, the guy at the shop said i would have to replace that wire because it is not heavy enough. The terminal on the alt. was bigger and i had to drill the wire terminal a little to get it to fit. Just wondering if anyone has had to do this and if they had problems with the wire melting.

That's a huge upgrade, either upgrade to a larger wire or parallel a second one.
