Body Control Module Location??

On my 99 powerstroke my body control module is shot. I have no power to windows, locks, 4x4, wipers, guages, int light, keyless entry and gas pedel wont work. Has anyone changed one of these before, I need all the tips I can get.....thanks

Ford calls it your "GEM" module and it's above the fuse panel by your left knee.

I found this post and I am having similar issues. Did that module fix the issue?

shouldn't be that hard to change, first I would try to find out what caused the failure, it would suck to change it out and fry another one.

Does your windshield leak, did you notice any water stains near it?

BigDiesel3, I once had all kinds of odd problems with mine and it ended up being bad connections to the batteries. The previous owner cut the battery connectors off and put autozone connectors on it. The heat caused by the current draw would soften them and I would have all kinds of odd problems. 4x4 not turning on, lights dimming, error codes (vss/oss). It never affected my gauges or windows though.
