ae injector in #1 hole?
I bought a 2003 7.3 PSD out of an E-350 shuttle bus to replace my 2001 f-250 engine. when I pulled the valve covers on the E-series 2003 engine I found an AE injector in the #1 cylinder position (pass side front cyl.) all the rest are AD including the #8 hole. I thought it was to be in the #8 hole? Is an E-series different?
If I use the bigger van E-series turbo can I expect any issues to deal with? thanks |

The long lead injector (AE code) should be in #8, the rest should be AD.

it wont hurt anything as it is. If you have cackle, then you need to move the AE to the 8 hole. Get new o rings for them when swapping. But if it runs fine leave it.
