what should i do with my coolant system??
i still have a basically stock motor but i am looking to begin upgrading things in the near future and one thing i see alot is people saying to change the coolant and add a coolant filter. right now i have the green stuff in it and i flush it about every year. is this what i should be doing or should i use different stuff? when i flush it i just use the drain **** on the bottom of the radiator, is that all or is there a drain on the motor too?
when i add the coolant filter kit, do i have to buy replacement "coolant filters" or are they just oil filters? any advice would be appreciated. |

i suggest switching to an ELC, they last for years and years, dont need an additive, and are just better all around for these trucks. yes you need to rinse your whole system of the green before you put it on, theres a drain plug on the block as well.

well what is drain all of it, and hose it all out(if you have quality tap water) and then rinse again with some distilled water, then hopefully you can find the coolant in concentrate and mix it with distilled water, voila. i honestly wish i knew all the amounts and could find the thread with all the info, hopefully someonee will chime in.
