No fuel supply
My 01 7.3 died coming home. I thought I was out of fuel, but after putting in 5 gallons, it would not start. I changed the fuel filter and the cannister would not fill up. I changed the fuel pump and blew out the line to tank, but still no fuel to filter. When I turn on the ignition switch, the pump runs about 20 seconds and cuts off, but no fuel comes to filter. Is there another pump in the tank and if not what would cause this problem? Thanks for any help.

How full is the tank? There is a mixing chamber inside the tank that may have been damaged by blowing the line out, and the pickup may have fallen off. Also check the lines at the top of the tank to see if they are still connected. You only have one pump located on the frame. If you drop the tank, look into doing the hutch mod.
