HID's + DP chip = motor cuts out?

Ok, i just recently got some fog lights and installed Hids in them and now whenever i turn them on with the motor running it either almost cuts out or completely dies. I remember reading something about hids somehow cause interferance with my DP f5 (i think f5) chip? i went looking around and couldnt really find anything on it. anyone have any solutions? thanks, mitch.

ok, so just an update in case anyone was wondering, i moved the power+ground for the fogs to the passenger battery, and can tell it helps a little. if the motor is warmed up it usually won't cut out, but if i just started the truck and turn the fogs on it usually cuts out. Also, the fogs don't have the fancy slim digital ballasts just the crappier big ballasts. Now, just today i put in a set of decent quality bi-xenon hids in the headlights with the fancy digital slim ballast thingy. these don't cut out the motor at all. granted, i've only had them in for 2 hours, but it hasn't cut out yet. If anyone has any other suggestions for the fog light issue i'm open to suggestions. Thanks, Mitch
