Hey Guys,
I got home from work last night at 6:30, parked my truck for the night. It got down to about 25 degrees last night and when i went out there a minute ago to start it the battery level was low and made a ticking sound that seemed like it was coming from the dash board?? I was wondering if this was from not plugging it in over night? Also I plugged starter box up to it and it has plenty of juice but is still making some sort of ticking sound and wont turn over?? Please help. Thanks

austin, try taking a 3lb mini sludge hammer to the actual starter a few times. every time ive ever heard that ticking sound, its been the starter. you just heard one loud per key turn, correct? if you pop the starter out and run it down to advanced, chances are it'll pass. dont ask me why, but ive played this problem before. i did it three times till i got pissed and just bought a new starter. buttt if its a continuous ticking sound per key turn though, its definitely your batteries. all the lights and gauges on your dash will go crazy along with it.
