Exhaust Manifold Down Tubes
The tubes from the exhaust manifolds to the turbo leak substantially and the mechanic tells us that that is the reason for the truck not having power. How do we fix this problem?
And Ive noticed all of our trucks (we have 5) have at least a little leak so it must be a common problem. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated. |

Its your donut gaskets leaking and your not making the boost you should be. You can either remove and replace the gaskets with more gaskets which I think cost me about $45. Or you can get the international bellowed up pipes that dont have the gasket for around $400 I believe. Just replacing the gaskets is somewhat of a risk because if you have lost enough metal on the pipes they may not seal good enough. I replaced just the gaskets and havent had anymore leaks since then.

Ah ok. Where do I get the pipes from? Ford or aftermarket?

You can get the donut gaskets or the bellowed up pipes online. Just google them and it should come up. I got the donut gaskets from the Ford dealer, and you can probably get the pipes from an international dealer.
