Replacing Orings in hpop

So i have a decent leak in the valley of the motor, and it seems to be coming from the front of the motor, ie the HPOP so i ordered the o ring kit and was wondering if the pump needs to be removed or not?

thanks again

if it is the plug on the back of the pump no you do not need to take it out. that is where mine was leaking.

I replaced the end plug o-ring today. Do the threads on the hpop need to be oil free for the loctite to seal properly? I had the plug out for a while and it was slowly draining, any way to drain it quicker?
