FUEL PUMP DEAD?

Lets see... i believe i ran out of fuel, the gauge said 1/4 tank, but it is off some. it died just like it does when it runs out. this time, i added 5 gallons, cycled it more times than i can count, even used wd-40 to try to get it to fire up, nothing. next day, i added 5 more gallons and did the same things, with a car hooked up i charged my batteries. i know the fuel bowl should bubble or fill with fuel when the filter is off, so i tried to fill the bowl with fuel from the pump when the filter was off. nothing. the pump runs, but no bubbles, no fuel, nothing. i loosened the fuel line after the fuel pump, and fuel dribbled out, i ran the fuel pump, and it still just dribbles. is there another thing that can stop the fuel bowl from filling up except for the pump? and how hard is it to change the pump?

Changing the pump is not bad. You may want to drop the tank and check the screens in the pick up assembly. Probably just a bad pump, especially if its making a loud noise.
