Just noticed the other day after changing the fuel filter while driving down the highway at 75 mph, I noticed the service engine soon light every couple of minutes blinks very quickly. Engine runs fine and no sound difference. I also noticed it sometime has a engine surge at idile even with engine warm. Any Ideas what this might be. I did notice there are 2 open recalls that have not yet been addressed. 1 being the CPS. They other beign the speed control module. Could these have anything to do with it.

If the light comes on like that then there's a stored code in the computer that will point you right to the cause.
Get it scanned. (and here I'm afraid it's a more complicated issue than it should be because it takes a special scanner to properly pull our codes - AutoZone or a regular ODB-II scanner can't do it.....) |

Thanks for the information. It usally only occurs during engine load like moderate to hard exelaration or highway speeds. I gues I will try to get it into ford and go from there.
