A few questions about my first powerstroke.
I'll start off by saying sorry if any of these questions sound kind of dumb but I am new to the world of diesel engines. I bought a 2001 F350 4x4 with an automatic transmission in it. I am starting to realize that the maintenance on the vehicle was the bare minimum. It has around 195k. I just had to replace the trans and while they were doing it they told me I had three oil leaks. From the ICP sensor, turbo pedestal and the high pressure fittings. How difficult would these be to fix myself. Also the power of the truck seems to be lacking when towing or even pulling a hill empty. Would any of the leaks cause a power loss. If not what should I be looking at first. One last thing. I did the first oil change and while I was at it I did the fuel filter. It was extremely dirty. Could the rest of my fuel delivery system be clogged from dirty fuel. What’s the best way to clean it. Looks like injectors are pretty pricey. Can you clean or rebuild them or am I better off just changing them out. Sorry for the long post and thanks in advance for any info.
