early 99 turbocharger burned up, do i upgrade?

My turbo on my early 99 has a half inch of in and out shaft play. Do I replace the stock unit, or do I upgrade to something else. I purchased a used turbo. It doesn't fit. It has a square exhaust flange. I crossed the numbers and it says it's a 99 so I don't know wtf is going on. I'm still pretty new to 7.3's. My engine was manufactured in Nov. of 98. I'm kind of at a stand still and have no idea what to do next. I haven't been able to enjoy this truck since I bought it, really would like to use it soon.

you have an early 99 so if you bought a late 99 turbo it will not fit. are you looking to upgrade injectors and such down the road? if yes or if you just want a better turbo to run with custom tunes a d66 from beans is not a bad choice if you can swing the money for one if not just get an reman one

i would like to run a chip with mine someday but I need to weed out the problems I'm having before I upgrade too much. It's a former construction truck and I have some problems to work out I'm interested in any help I can get, parts and otherwise. How much for your stocker?

For a 50 LB package shipped to you is only $30 so I would say no more than that

Do you have paypal? If not a personal check would be fine but it would have to clear my bank before I ship the turbo
