intermittant wait to start light
The wait to start light will come on and the glow plugs heat up ok on my 99 truck and the system works fine for long periods then suddenly the light will not go on. After turning the ignition on and off for 20-30 times or so the light will finally come on and you can then hear the humming of the glow plug system working and truck will start fine. I have taken the truck to the dealers three times with this problem, they told me the fuel bowl heater was bad so I replaced it, they told me the batteries were low, but they are brand new and the starter cranks great. I also replaced relay. Can anybody tell me what is causing this intermittant operation of the glowplug system?
