HPOP?

I have a 99 7.3 that had a oil leak under the HPOP so I took it to a mechanic to stop the oil leak. When he put the HPOP back on it wouldn't crank. Then he told me that the HPOP was no good and that I need a new one.If it was working when he took it off shouldn't it work when he puts it back on?What else could be the problem with it not starting?PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!!!

The same thing happened to a buddy of mine. I would make sure the HPOP gear bolt is torqued correctly.

I agree with ajpu1983, check the gear bolt. I didn't get mine tight and spent a fair amount of time trying to figure out why it wouldn't get enough pressure to start.
