Unusual driveablity
Lately my truck has been running kind of odd. It runs normal, starts fine, etc, etc. Ever once in a while though it seems to more or less "gain" a bunch of power. When giving it gas, the boost shoots up and the truck is an animal. It smokes a bit, which it never does normally, but the power difference is huge! I don't have any kind of chip or tunes, just 4" exhaust, ITP in tank kit, valve body in the trans, nothing that would really make any kind of huge difference, at least not one that seems to turn on and off. Any ideas? I was thinking maybe the EBPV might be sticking and then opens all of the way causing the gain in power. Only thing, it doesn't make any noise like it would in the winter. Thanks in advance for any help.

look at air temp & barometric pressure on these days? These motors can't get enough cold dense air -

Mine always runs consistently. Maybe minor changes due to air temp but nothing crazy.

Mine is like that but only with the throttle sesitivity, feels like a bunch of horse power gained down low off of idle.
