electrical connector fixes?
my 2000 ex fleet service E-350 goshen coach, has a number of intermittent wiring problems like not turning over when damp outside! not wanting to go into run mode when you turn the key switch to run.
I'm thinking this is all in the mass wad of connectors up under the hood that you have to take apart everytime you have to work on anything else. Are there some techniques/tools/links for cleaning the connectors, making repairs to the tensions of the connectors in the harnesses, any kind of oil no oil that I should put in them things. If you've seen the powerstroke van it's the large connector group center rear hood. Or am I way offbase and should be looking elsewhere, I just replaced the ignition switch with no change in symptoms. |

ignition switch
ok, I think I have this narrowed down a bit, but can't find out how to repair. In removing the lock cylinder now the plastic stick that connects the lock cylinder down to the ignition switch doesn't want to move. how do you repair or replace this piece?
I've had to resort to leaving the lock cylinder out, ignition switch loose so that I can move the pin by hand and one of them "the Club" to lock onto the steering wheel for the bear minimum of security, I need this fixed asap any help would be appreciated. |
