Question boost pressure vs power at the wheels??

Hi guys/gals.
I think I may have identified my earlier problem. When I changed fuel filter and pump, seems as though I ended up with air in the system(hope..hope) anyway, this beastie is running about normal at the moment. However, I know she needs a set of fresh injectors but thats way more money than I have. A question though that perhaps someone can answer. The ol gal has never produced a lot of boost..once I think she hit 12psi pulling a steep hill but on average, she'll only pull 4psi, loaded, straight5 and level..5-6 tops pulling a grade. How would upgrading the turbo for higher boost effect both power to the wheels(she's pretty gutless when it comes to any kind of hills, loaded or not) as well as fuel mileage and, most importantly I suppose, net EGT's?

Send a message via Yahoo to Dave
Howards rig is an e series van cutaway. No intercooler. But I agree the numbers are a tad low.
